Ask God to Direct Your Life

What exemplary prayer life is recorded of King David, Daniel the prophet, and Jesus?

David:
"Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice."
Psalm 55:17

Daniel:
"Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime."
Daniel 6:10

Jesus:
"And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed."
Mark 1:35

"And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God."

What conditions are necessary in order for our Heavenly Father to answer our prayers?

Perseverance. "Praying … with all perseverance."
Ephesians 6:18

Faith. "But let him ask in faith."

We need to forgive others. "First be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift."
Matthew 5:24

We should not have unconfessed sin in our lives. "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me."
Psalm 66:18

We need to keep God's law. "He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination."
Proverbs 28:9

Pray according to God's will. "If we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us."

Respect God's Property

Especially His Time
"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."
Exodus 20:8-11

Especially His Tithe
"Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.... Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

Put Others Before Yourself

Jesus said: "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets."

Be Clean in Everything You Do

Share Christ with Others

Keep God's Commandments

"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."
Revelation 22:14

"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."
