Sin Enters The Human Family
What were God's instructions to Adam
in the Garden of Eden?
"And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden
of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the Lord God commanded
the man, sying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely
eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou
shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof
thou shalt surely die."
Genesis 2:15-17
But Adam and Eve disobeyed God
"The serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes
shall be opened, and ye shall be as Gods, knowing good and evil.
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that
it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make
one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave
also unto her husband with her: and he did eat."
Genesis 3:4-6
What resulted from their disobedience?
"And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one
of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his
hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for
ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of
Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove
out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden
Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep
the way of the tree of life."
Genesis 3:22-24

to do evil."
Jeremiah 13:23
How do we obtain eternal life?
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 6:23

How many people is God willing to save?
"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count
slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any
should perish but that all should come to repentance."
2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV)
Though God is love, He is also just. God
does not overlook guilt
"The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering,
and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands,
forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by
no means clear the guilty."
Exodus 34:5-7
What plan did God devise to save sinful
mankind?
"For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life."

He hung upon the cross?

of us all."

What do we have to do to receive God's

yourselves: it is the gift of God."

As we accept Christ into our hearts, what
assurance can we have?

hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written
unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye
may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on
the name of the Son of God."
