"This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14The church has never been called to clean our world, but to preach the message of salvation to lost men. We traveled to New York and Washington DC in April 2008 to handout books to people on the street, to churches and church members. As a direct result we are receiving requests for more books and more informations about current events that shakes the planet along with questions about what does the Bible say about those events and are those events serious enough to call for radical changes in our way of life. We will soon go to Florida and do the same work because the Lord talk to the heart of a man that will donate means of transportation for six pallets of books (that's 51.000 books). Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom - Ecc_9:10. -We are accepting volunteer registration for the Florida distribution. Nothing to Fear ... F. D. Roosevelt had the right idea about fear itself In 1933 the 32nd president of the United States in his inaugural speech spoke these profound words: “... The only thing we have to fear ... is fear itself ... nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.” Most of us are familiar with these inspiring words, though perhaps not their origin. If you’ve ever had to jump out of an airplane at 10,000+ feet, hanging your life on a handful of string and a few yards of silk, you’ll have some idea of the courage needed to make that first leap. Imagine the apprehensions of the first men to leave the earth and put a foot on the moon. You can almost hear them secretly asking themselves, “What if I make a mistake? Suppose I mess up.” Astronauts are human after all. Let’s get more down to earth, though. Remember the first time you rode a bike? Skated on ice? Drove a car? Although you might take all these for granted now, do you remember how hard you had to swallow before you took the reins all by yourself? Any scuba divers out there? Now there’s a challenge that offers a world of enjoyment to any that will trust their lives to a tank of air strapped to the back and go down 60 feet. Someone once wrote that “Courage is not the absence of fear, but the camouflaging of it.” Do you recall the first Bible study you gave? How about the first missionary trip you went on? You may remember the initial apprehension you experienced, maybe even terror, at the prospect of presenting the Word of God to another mortal soul. Those of us who sell or give away books on the streets of our world are all too familiar with the Devil sitting on our shoulders offering words of doubt and discouragement calculated to make us retreat into our comfort zones. Many of us shrug the Devil off and advance, not because we’re superhuman—far from it— but because we know that God will make the seeds grow in spite of our best efforts to do the job “without messing up.” So go on, gather your cargo, jump and pull the rip cord. Your first landing might not be the softest, but the next one will be easier. And who knows, you might even start to enjoy it.
